Tips for Weight Loss

It’s exercise more than diet which will get the excess weight off. However, before you start an exercise program, talk with your doctor. Stop exercising if you become dizzy, nauseated, out of breath, or have chest pains. If you are more than forty pounds overweight, don’t work out at a high intensity without professional supervision.

When you remember the tips to lose weight, you will see results. One tip is to eat less calories than you burn. When your weight remains the same, then you are consuming the same number of calories that you are burning. Your basal metabolic rate (BMR) is simply the involuntary number of calories you burn daily to function. Some people have a higher BMR and others have a lower than average BMR. A 100 pound person requires fewer calories to maintain their BMR. A 200 pound person requires more calories.

A second tip is to reduce your daily caloric intake by 500 calories for one week; then, you will lose one pound. Or you burn an extra 500 calories daily for one week; then, you will lose one pound.

The last tip to remember is that you will start loosing weight when you make better food choices, and eating well-balanced meals. Avoid alcohol; avoid processed foods (canned and packaged food); avoid foods loaded with sugar; and avoid white bread and pasta. Choose instead wheat products, fresh fruits and vegetables, and fresh meat.
